LCSC strives to never do the same thing twice. So, whether you've come to one or come to all, you never know exactly what to expect besides a quality immersion in community and flavors. Here's some of what we've done in the past.
Dinners in the Garden
We began hosting private garden dinners for friends since 2023. These dinners have ranged in style and variety. We've eaten Mediterranean mezze platters, garden focaccias, asian inspired veggie & rice dishes, Italian feasts, and southern flavors. We've done long tables in the fields and tried some small plates dinners more spread out. Each have been unique and important to ourselves and our friends We learn something new every time, and leave every dinner with a new glow and excitement for the next...
Our first ever open community event! Held in the Williams Grange in the middle of March, surrounded by cozy warm soup, and the comfort of friends & community. We fundraised for the William's Farmers Market through a silent auction, and got to dine with over 120 guests in the quietest time of year. We served french onion soup, Hungarian mushroom, and what we called a "greeny, beany, bright & brothy", sourdough boules & butter logs, and carrot cake that didn't last long at all. This one was a special one (although we say that every time...) and we look forward to doing more like this next winter.
2024, Pacifica
2024's harvest was transformed into a feast inspired by the flavors of Northern Mexico, in celebration of autumn, and in honor of Dia De Los Muertos. Tables highlighting the four themes of the seasonal harvest, (corn, peppers, gourds, & alliums), we dined on chile relleno, pozole, sopes, and carnitas, all from the farm. There was dancing, laughter, specialty-crafted cocktails by the Monday Hub, and the finest company of the Applegate Valley. We spent so many months stringing marigolds, growing dry beans, menu planning, and dreaming up the perfect evening, and it was well worth it! It was an honor to host this event, the first of many. We are excited for more to come!
SMALL PLATES, BIG DREAMS
Our biggest party! This dinner marked a turning point for us. We had 9 small plate tapas wandering the fields, accompanied by DJ Fault Lines playing beats, and pop up tables amongst the flowers.
